.... we weren't the only ones to notice. Earlier in the day our guide found a large pack of wild dogs resting. We were hopeful they would hunt at dusk. The dogs sized up the location of the hippo and quickly realized it was too dangerous (crocodiles) to try to drag it to shore, so they moved on.
