Botswana & Zambia 2015
Read MoreAfter a great stay at Machaba, it was time to move on to Lebala Camp, located in the Linyanti wetlands of Botswana within the largest private concession in the country. David and I were back in familiar territory, having visited this camp and the next (Lagoon) many times over the past 9 years. A company called Kwando owns Lebala, 4 other camps, and the land concessions upon which the camps are built.
Kwando has a different approach to operating safari camps. They believe safaris are about the wildlife and so to improve the possibility of finding animals, every Kwando vehicle has both an expert guide and tracker aboard. Above are Kal-B (left), our tracker, and Jacob (right), our guide. Kwando guides have a reputation for being the best in Africa. David and I would certainly support that claim. The "Kwando experience" is also a bit different .... sort of like the wild west of the 1800's.... in other words, almost anything goes, so hold on.
