This time was different. Warthogs are definitely not antelopes. This enormous male was the animal in the wild dogs' crosshairs. He ran into a burrow to escape, but found it occupied by another warthog. He made himself as big as possible, grunted loud warnings, and stood his ground. Wild dogs are wary of warthogs and know they can do serious damage. Even though the dogs backed off, the warthog knew he was in trouble and eventually fled to another borough.
