After just 1 night on Evengue Island, it was time to move on. Our destination was Loango National Park, about a 2-hour boat ride away. The itinerary within the park had changed. Originally, we were to spend 1 night at the main park lodge, then go by boat to a remote camp for 1 night, then return for 1 night at a beach camp not far from the main lodge. Turns out, a week before we arrived, a hurricane destroyed the beach camp. This actually worked out well for us because we spent our first night at the remote camp, then got to spend 2 consecutive nights at the very nice Loango Lodge.
