Elkhorn Slough Feb 15 2016

It was the best weather day ever in the slough.... 75 degrees and windless. Plus, we paddled in the morning during low tide. Relaxed mom otters with pups were everywhere, as were great blue herons in full breeding plumage (the herons were getting ready to nest in nearby trees). We found otters even before we got in our kayaks. This mom and large pup were resting in the marina adjacent to the slough.
