Joan, Penny and I arrived in Elkhorn Slough on a "perfect" day about 30 minutes before the kayak rental place opened, so we stopped at the boat marina where otters sometimes hang out. We weren't disappointed. The lighting was terrible, but the otters were incredibly cute.
