During the government shutdown in late 2018, elephant seals took over Drake's Beach, a very popular tourist spot in Point Reyes National Seashore. This year the rangers were back, so many of the seals were driven away from this beach to others a bit further north. A few hardy males and the occasional female did try to take up residence at Drake's Beach, but no pups were born. First 2 shots were taken in late December, 2019.
